can a 801.11 ac wifi extender work for 802.11?

wondering if i can use a 801.11ac wifi extender on my wifi that is 802.11

It's either a typo on the product page or you read it wrong - - - all todays WiFi extenders & WiFi routers conform to 802.11


I never heard of 801.11 May have been an old wireless protocol before I got in to networking.

they have made them compatible with each other. your speeds will depend on the weak link between clients. if AC picks up a G signal the G will slow down the AC.

many companies sell the packs with a base router and a few extenders.

if you can run ethernet out then use POE Access points and not wireless repeaters.
