Question Can a card with PCI-E 4.0 x 16 card bus fit into a PCIe 3.0 x 16 slot?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card and was pretty much set on getting the 'Gigabyte AORUS Radeon RX 5600 XT WINDFORCE OC 6GB' but i noticed that my ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming motherboard only has a PCIe 3.0 x 16 slot.

Since the graphics card has a PCI-E 4.0 x16 card bus will this still be compatible with the PCIe3.0 x16 slot?
