Question Can a computer show video without a cpu

My recently built pc doesn't show video, but it does power on the fans and stuff(no beep though).

Now I wanted to know if it was because of a faulty cpu or if you can get through a post without one

(ryzen 5 2600 CPU and gygabyte b450m ds3h MOBO if needed)

That system requires a dedicated GPU to have video as the Ryzen 2600 has no iGPU. The video ports on the motherboard, such as HDMI, as for CPU's like the 2200G or 2400G that have iGPUs (Vega 8 & Vega 11 respectively).

None can show video without a CPU. Inn your case it can't even with that CPU as it doesn't have graphic capability.
