Can a CPU cause a grey screen crash?

I've been getting some grey screen crashes while i play some games. My graphics card is aPowerColor Radeon R9 270X 2GB TurboDuo. I've run furmark and there seems to be nothing wrong with the card so I'm wondering if it's my cou. I have an amd fx 6300.

Ummmmmmm.......... i don't know exactly what is going on, but your cpu shouldn't cause grey screens.

It seems like its a common 270x issue

Ya I've read a lot about it. I've just about everything everybody else has said and nothing works. But all the temps seem fine.

Try underclocking it?

OK I'll give that a try when I get time. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I would try RMAing your graphics card if you can.
