Hey guys i have a 8gb Ram and a nvidia ge force gt 640 1 gb ddr3 and a PSU 350W. I was wondering if i can get a new graphic card like GTX 750 Ti MSI 2 gb gddr. But i have an AMD Athlon ii x2 250 3.0 ghz CPU. The question is,will i get a better performance with the new 750 ti and with my CPU.I mean can the AMD Athlon ii 250 go Better with that gpu, will i get a good fps and performance in new games?

And now the last guys, can i change that CPU with a core i3 or core i5 or i need an another Motherboard.

Well, Pls guys give me an answer as fast as u can, Thanks

x2 250 uses AM3 socket while modern Intel uses LGA1150 and the newest Intel CPUs (skylake) use LGA1151.

GTX 750 Ti is fine and you will see better performance for sure.

It depends on the game. Your CPU will be a huge bottleneck in more multi-threaded games so do not expect to crank up the settings. You can probably max out Skyrim, Civ, a couple of CODs, BF3 (maybe not but will run at least medium, maybe high no problem).

Your CPU is only a dual core and it is very old and AMD thus slow and inefficient by today's standards. It will be okay for now but I recommend getting an FX-6300 (with a new mobo) or an i3 in the future if you are on budget.
