Question Can a faulty hdd brick motherboard?

I bought a secon hand hdd formated it and installed win7 after installing couple of deivers I restarted and motherboard never booted again
I cleared cmos and I tested everything with working parts : ram ,cpu , psu nothing worked . When I turn it on there's no screen and no boot beep just black screen .

Tried that too didn't work . I think sth went wrong with the motherboard's hardware components
