Can a glass pane on a case cause static electricity damage?

I'm new to computers, I'm wondering if there is a static electricity risk to having a glass pane on the side of a computer case. I know that static electricity can damage computer parts so is the pane potentially a problem?

At any temperature your case will be, glass is an insulator, not a conductor of energy. And if you have molten glass, your PC is at a temperature at which it was long ruined.
