[SOLVED] Can a GPU cause very slow boot?

W10. AMD 3700X CPU. M2 pcie 4.0 system drive. Using a new RX5700X GPU the machine takes maybe 5 minutes to boot, with the whirling icon indicating the system is busy doing something. I switch it for an RX580 and all goes smoothly. I was/am using the drivers chosen by AMD's "automatic" app.

Thats very strange. Have you tried using DDU GPU driver Uninstaller ?

Try booting into safe mode and see if the problem persists, if yes, then it's probably some driver complications.
