Hello, I am planning to upgrade to a gtx 970 on christmas, but I have a few questions first.
My current specs: R9 270x
i5 4670
8gb ram.
With a GTX 970 can I run games like Far Cry 4, Advanced warfare, and other games coming out in 2015, maxed out with at least 65+ fps?
2. Will there be a bottleneck?
3. What psu would you recommend? (A PSU that will last long and is SLI compatible)
Thanks

Solution
you should be fine, I was just using my friends 970 and he was running assasins creed unity maxed at 1080p, after the patch that was released, he got 50-60+ fps. if they patch farcry4, you should be fine in all previous games too, for the most part.

that should not bottleneck at all

all sli compatible means is that it has enough plugs and can supply enough power. it also depends on your motherboards support for it.
grab a psu from this list in the link, try to get tier 1 or 2, nothing less than that is your system because you want a very reliable one with such high end parts
YES, ITS THE BEST BANG FOR BUCK GPU OUT THERE BUT GAMES LIKE FARCRY 4 AREN'T VERY WELL OPTIMISED SO SOME OVERCLOKING ON THE GPU AND PATCHES SHOULD GIVE YOU 60FPS MAXED OUT OR ATLEAST FXAA AS THE ONLY FORM OF ANTI AILISING
