I recently earned enough money and realized that the motherboard said it required a 8th gen cpu when im going to be buying a 9th gen, and i've read forums saying that some will boot regardless. Can someone clear this up, because I don't have a 8th gen cpu currently and I don't feel like choosing something to fit my budget again, or is it possible that I can boot using a usb of some sort?

It says its compatible with "Asus EZ flash 3" which i believe can update the bios without the cpu I think?
I don’t believe that’s what this feature is. I know some motherboards have a feature like that. According to the manual it says
“The ASUS EZ Flash 3 allows you to download and update to the latest BIOS through the Internet without having to use a bootable floppy disk or an OS‐based utility.”

Ohhh ok thank you, I'm just going to buy the cheapest celeron and send it back afterward
