Just bought a Aero 15x and noticed the stock 8750h caps at 2.2 ghz while the 8700k boosts to 3.2. I was wondering if I could upgrade with out having to change the motherboard. Thanks!
There are some laptops with interchangeable CPU's. But most aren't. Most are integrated to the motherboard. The same is true of graphics. Gaming laptops are different. You are more likely to see these options in gaming laptops than regular ones.

No it can't. The 8750H is a mobile CPU only available in BGA1440 (which is a soldered to the motherboard). The 8700k is a desktop cpu only available in socket LGA1151(v2).
Generally you can't really swap out CPUs in laptops. There are physical size/space issues, power issues, cooling issues...you are better off just buying the laptop that already has what you need.

Most times they are. Here's a big clue- there is no mention of upgrading the CPU after you buy it, on the website for this computer. I'm pretty sure that if that was a thing you could do, they'd tell you that and tell you how.

ok, thanks for the help, according to intels website the core count and thread count are the same for both cpu's. Speaking generally if not soldered could they be interchanged?
