can a laptop charger cause the screen to change color and shut down

I have had a Toshiba Satellite computer for a few years and suddenly when I turn it on with the laptop charger on as well, it won't start up and when the charger is off, it starts up fine but also when I am using the laptop, with the charger on as well, the whole screen changes color, not blue but more like the color of the webpages I was on such as white or gray. is something wrong with my charger or is it the computer?
also I have notice that when in a transformer, it works better but not sure what is the problem, can anyone please tell what's wrong and how to possibly fix this?

It could be the charger or the laptop motherboard also ....

If you can try other adapter that will test witch one is the problem.

well Nikolay, I tried an other adapter and a transformer as well, the problem did not go away, after a while when it is plugged in , the whole screen still changes colour, should i buy another charger or find a professional to look at my computer and charger.
