[SOLVED] Can a LGA1151 go in a FCLGA1151 socket?

The CPU that is in the mobo right now is a i3-8100, but can something like an i7-9700 fit into that? I noticed when looking on Intel's page for both, it shows FCLGA1151, so would it work?

Yes, assuming the motherboard has the proper BIOS version to use the 9th gen CPU.

Yep, and furthermore looks like you can even use the existing cooler as both cpus have the same tdp:

Again, the most important part is that the motherboard (or at least bios and chipset) are compatible.
