First of all there are no "N2" memory slots on your board. There is an A1 slot and a B1 slot.

The first thing you should do is remove the CPU and make sure that there are no bent pins on the motherboard. That is always a primary consideration anytime there are problems with one or more memory slots.

Yes, a bad motherboard can absolutely damage a DIMM, but so can a bad CPU or a CPU/motherboard with bent pins. Check for bent pins and if there are none even slightly bent or damaged I'd be inclined to want to replace the board. I definitely wouldn't keep putting new memory in a board that already has seemingly killed the memory in the same slot twice.
