[SOLVED] Can a motherboard kill a GPU?

Hi guys. My friend bought an rx 570 4gb for his old computer. At boot he was getting pixel faulties lines. after boot nothinh like that. after 3 hour gameplay the computer didnt start up, but without the vga yes. I suggested a new PSU because i tested that and it didnt work fine.

He bought a gigabyte PSU brand new and got a new card. I tested after it got back from service and for me worked without problem. I gave back him he put in his pc and the same pixel faulties and lines at boot. He didnt want to use like that cause last time in that way the card died. So what can be the problem? The board is Gigybyte GA-EP31-DS3L

I'd reccomend a whole new system with more up to date componets. Did you test the first RX 570 in a different PC to see if it's actually dead?

How couldn't handle. Has a port so maybe can't get the maximum from the card. After no booting i didnt. It got replaced from the store where bought

my another friend has an n68 board and still can handle az r7 360 with semporon processor
