Can a Msi lightning 1080 ti fit inside a phanteks evolv shift or shift x?

So I'm planning on buying the msi lightning 1080 ti and take advantage of the rgb by displaying the rgb backplate (for better airflow) inside a phanteks evlov shift or shift x (the slightly taller one) but unsure if it fits since many say the case has only 2 expansion slots (I don't know if there is space for a 2.5 card like the lighting 1080ti) yet pcpartpicker says the parts are compatible

Can anyone give me a clear yes the card can fit inside the case or not

EDIT: also, if it doesn't fit, are there any cases that show off the gpu like the antec cube (razer) for example?

Dont take the chance ... This card is designed for 3 slots... Even if it fits , the fans will have no clearance .
