Can a PCI-e 2.0 x16 Fit in a PCI-e x16 motherboard slot?

I was wondering if you guys could be so kind and help me. That would make me very happy. I want a new GPU and it's a AMD Radeon HD 4850.

Yes, PCIe x16 is backward compatible. Fit is not issue. But do you have a sufficient PSU and is your case roomy enough to support the card?

I already know that I need a 450W psu, and I'm sure my case can fit the Card, if not I can always return it. But thank you for your help!
