Can a power supply go up side down?

I have a bit of a problem. I have a HP pavilion p7 1410 and I'm going to get a evga gtx 750 ti and because its rated for 300 watts and I have a 300 watt psu so I'm going to get a power supply. I decided to get the corsair cx430m but on the website I realized that the fan is on the top and my current psu has a vent on the back, not on the top or bottem so if i wanted the airflow to be right it would have to be up side down so I was wondering if it is possible for it to be upside down.

The psu intakes air so if it is facing down and there was a vent it pulls in cold air from outside. If it is up (facing inward to the case) it will pull in the hot air from the case and expel it.

A 300W PSU would be enough in first place, 750 Ti is a low power card, 60W to be precise. No need to upgrade the PSU.

Thanks for the quick responce! What if I were to exceed the 300 watts?(like adding a new hard drive for instance) Would any parts be damaged, or would it just shut down or something else

You won't exceed 300W by adding a HDD. A single HDD takes 8-10W, SSD takes upto 3W, won't make a difference unless you add like 5 HDDs. And if the limit somehow exceeds, PSU would fail.
