As poor as the low-end EVGA PSUs are, yes you can do it. As long as you don't OC either the card or the CPU. I've done it using a 125W CPU & GTX 970 with no issues using this lowest of the low end 500W Evga units: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438016
Still had sufficient headroom.

The GPU won't bottleneck, but there might be some CPU bottleneck in some games if not OC'ed.

I remember posting here back in early 2014, and ppl how no problem recommending the fx6300 or up. Took a break, came back late 2015, and i see ppl say dont get the fx6300 now. What happened in that timeframe to make ppl say the 6300 aint gonna cut it?

In my case, it's ownership of one. And a FX-6350. And a couple FX-8350. But I never said the FX-6300 couldn't cut it. Just that the GTX 970 is fast enough to keep up with a faster CPU while providing better performance.

Let's just say, it'll work. "Fine" is a relative term. No guarantees on the PSU's longevity. Obviously, a new better quality PSU would be preferred, but your question was "will the psu be able to run it?". The answer is yes, it'll run it..
