Can a r7 260x and a 6950 coexist in the same computer

I have a Radeon HD 6950 that I was using in my computer. I use to have 2 cards in this computer. They were not set up in crossfire but worked in the unit along side each other. I was able to mine cryptocurrency this way. Now I recently picked up a r7 260x and installed this into my computer as well. Both cards are installed currently and drivers have been in stalled for the 260x. My problem is both are picked up in my computer but when I pull up device manager it states windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43). I've tried researching the code but no luck. Hopefully someone can help.

Uninstall all drivers for the old card is what I did and then lucked out and reinstalled the same software for the 6950 and it is recognized now. Works kinda rough to mine but seems like it mines together and works. I just am not running anything too intense on graphics on the computer.
