My Sinewave UPS failed over the weekend (loud pop and a constant beep with an F02 error). Likely a bad capacitor or circuit board part. No power outage or electricity loss.

My desktop with a 1070 and 3 HDDs was plugged in (PSU is an 80 platinum 750W EVGA). This was not on at the time of the incident.

I turned on my desktop plugged directly to the wall and everything powered up fine.

Do I need to be worried that the drives/cpu/gpu are going to fail soon because of this UPS failure (It was plugged into the battery backup port side of the UPS)?

The UPS is an APC BR1500MS

Solution
Can it? Not sure in this case since it seems the UPS failed internally. It turning one when plugged into the wall is a good sign though. You might want to run some longer (and maybe some more stressful) tests to be more certain.
