Hi. I have Windows 10, 64 bit.
I am upgrading my self-build PC for better video editing now that it's about 6 years old. Here are the new parts I've bought but not yet installed:

Crucial 1000GB NVME SSD, which will be the new C drive

Corsair RMx 1000 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

Asus DRW-24B3ST/BLK/G/AS DVD/CD Writer

My existing video card is a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 750 Ti 4GB video card.

My question is whether or not I can keep the card but buy a lower spec one to supplement it, so that they work together

I'd be grateful for any advice. Cheers.

This 100%.

For your purposes, I'd recommend:
a) For $250: GTX 1660 Super
b) For $300-$350: RTX 2060
c) For $400-$450: RTX 2060 Super

Hi. Thanks for your reply. I shan't try the SLI route, even though the new motherboard supports it. Thanks to you and Mandark for that. If I'd gone ahead with it I very likely would have messed it up when it came to the software part. I've ordered the GTX 1660. Thanks again. Cheers
