[SOLVED] Can an i5-9600k pair with RAM faster than 2666MHz?

Hi there,


So I'm looking to get hold of an i5-9600k and some RAM. I checked intel's website for RAM speeds supported and it says that it supports DDR4-2666.


Can i go higher than this however, given that the motherboard can support it?

Yes, you can.

The Intel number is just the 'default' speed that the 9600K will run RAM at, provided that the RAM can run at that speed.
