Can an MP be used in an GA-7DXR?

I know some people have used an XP in a MP board, but how about the reverse? I have a Gigabyte 7DXR, and I was wondering if a 2000+ MP would work? The reason I would buy a MP rather than an XP is bc I will probably get a dual board next year and wanted a chip that would be compatible. Also, the MP is easily unlocked, so I wouldn't have to bother with that.

Yes. it's exactly the same as XP except it's certified to run on Dual motherboards.

Correction, it's already unlocked.
