Hi

I purchased an SAS hard drive by mistake. I meant to get a SATA drive.

Here is the drive product info:
HGST Ultrastar He10 8TB SAS 7200 rpm Hard Drive (256MB/4Kn) 0F27407 .

Is it possible to connect it and use it with the ASUS Prime Z370A motherboard?
If so, can someone please suggest a reliable adapter.

Thank You

Best recommendation is to return the drive. These drives are designed for reading and being in large server arrays more than writing for simple desktop I/O. Though if you are unable to return it you can try getting something like this to use it:
https://www.amazon.com/Goliton-SFF-8482-Connected-Motherboard-Adapter/dp/B01874KQP4

And if this doesn't work, which I don't see why it wouldn't, you would need to spend more money on a raid controller card that supports SAS connection. So expenses will pile up just to correct your mistake.

That won't work. In order to use an SAS to SATA converter like the one you suggested, 2 things need to be in place.

1) The SAS Hard Drive must support SATA
2) The SATA chip on the Motherboard must support SAS

Asus Z370 Motherboards don't support SAS.
