I plan on getting another gpu for an SLI configuration in the future

My budget is $1000, so if anyone has any improvements that can better this build and keep it around my budget that would be great. Thanks in advance

Is your main purpose for gaming? If so, you are wasting money on your RAM. 16 GB ( 4 x 4 ) is not needed for gaming pc.
Also, you could save about $20 for mobo just as good.

Ya it is, and now that you mentioned it I didnt notice that the RAM I chose was 16gb (4×4gb)
What do you recommend for a motherboard then?
I got this one becuase it was a combo with the i5

MSI Z87-G45 mobo is bit cheaper and just as good You could keep your current one but I'm trying to help you lower cost of some stuff and grab a better GPU. Drop down your RAM to 8 GB and I'm sure with the left over money you can grab better GPU.
