Corsair CX500 is a crappy PSU.
You can get this at the same price point

I would suggest stronger PSU, get at least 700w and avoid CX series of corsair, it's well known for producing strange noise. Also, for that CPU it's best to take H87 or Z97 motherboard

thanks.
to be honest, i dont know anything about chipsets actually.
how about an Asrock Fatality H97 Killer Socket LGA1150?

Processors with "K" in the name are for overclocking. The motherboard lets you overclock it. These processors costs a little more than the versions without "K", but besides that, you need a motherboard with "Z" in the name. Only "Z" boards will enable them to overclock. Otherwise, if you don't overclock, you just take the processor without "K" in the name and a motherboard with "H", instead of "Z".

The Fatality is a good board (the H97 is almost the same as Z97, just without the overclocking)

H97 boards are cheaper than z97, also z97 boards are better for overclocking and since you paying extra money for K version of processor i guess you planing it. anyway, that mobo is capable of overclocking but i am not sure what are limits of it and how much base overcloak you can do

@Inferno83
I read also that ASRock found a way to overclock with that H97 board. But that would be very limited anyway, as all the components on the board is not for overclocking. And Intel didn't like this idea and some other boards got updates which disabled that already "crippled" (sorry for this wording) overclock mechanism. Simply, buy Z97 board if you plan to overclock.

wow! that was very helpful. thank you so much.!
yeah.. i am planning to over clock. so i now i have to look for a "Z" motherboard. 😀
