[SOLVED] Can anyone help me with a dead pixel?

Hello all!

I have just found a dead pixel on my LCD monitor, which has made a sort of black line running just below the dead pixel. I understand that there is no real way to fix a completely dead pixel, but I would like to know if there's a way to fix the darkening of the screen around it!

edit: I should mention that this is a 1080p display on an Acer laptop.

Looks like the pixel is affecting surrounding pixels. Nothing much you can do about that either. Some people softly press on dead pixels with pencil erasers or even their fingers to see if it's possible to fix the broken connection physically, but it's a long shot. In the end, you're most likely going to be stuck with this.

Looks more like your screen took a hit, leaving behind both a dead pixel and a bit of a crack.
