I currently have 2 identical 60Hz monitors (Acer K242HLbd) which each the following inputs:
1 x D-Sub
1 x DVI

My graphics card (R7 240) has the following outputs:
1 X DVI-D
1 X Native HDMI
1 X Native VGA

(Note that the graphics card came with a VGA cable.)

I am really unsure as to how to connect these 2 monitors to my GPU as I do not understand all of the different types of DVI cable and which are compatible with which.

I know this might be a noob question but any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan.

Solution
These will connect the DVI and HDMI outputs of your video card to the DVI inputs on the monitors.

DVI Cable: https://www.amazon.com/Cables-Unlimited-10-Feet-DVI-Cable/dp/B000KZW9WM/
HDMI to DVI Cable: https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-HDMI-DVI-Adapter-Cable/dp/B014I8UU2W/

Also if you want to clean up the desk space a little. Consider a dual monitor stand.
