I downloaded an ultima game from abandonia.com, bit it won't play. Can
anyone help me out here? I try to click on one of the icon in my
unzipped file, and it refuses to run. Give me some help, please.

This group is for Ultima Online, which is not abandonware. UO is an
active product (sort of) of EA-Games, and requires a subscription to
their servers.

If it's UO you are trying to play, that would be why it wont work.

vince garcia is a long time poster here, and SE is Samurai Empire,
not some "abandonware".
You should know what your talking about before you open fire.

Vince, sorry, I cant help you with running AOS, but why not just
run UO-SE? I do not see a difference, except a few new monsters,
and new art work. Guess you have your reasons, but I do not
understand them.

The original poster probably isn't a troll. There are plenty of
sites out there that let you download really old software like
some of the old single player Ultima games and the companies
don't mind because they've long ago stopped selling and
supporting them. That's why it's called "abandonware."

He probably just saw the word "Ultima" in the newsgroup game and
figured it was worth a try.

Probably not a troll but someone that downloaded one of the old
Ultima games like Exodus or something.
