So, i had a fx 6300 and recently upgraded to the 8350. With the 6300 i didnt had texturing issues with any game and etc, but with the 8350 i am having heavy problems with pubg and warhammer 2. i made a test on CPU-Z and i dont see anything wrong. Can someone look it up?
Ty in advance.

if more tests are required, give me a shout

System specs?

Likely, this is a motherboard or power issue. It's common to see people start having throttling issues when upgrading to an FX 8 core chip from a four or six core chip when a motherboard not designed to handle the additional voltage and heat is being used.

It's also possible that you may need to update your motherboard bios or reset the hardware tables by doing a CMOS reset and reconfiguring the default bios settings.

It probably also wouldn't hurt to do a clean install of the GPU card drivers and make sure you have the latest AMD chipset drivers installed.

Sorry for the time wasted. I was a bit hyped on upgrading my system and didnt noticed that i didnt correctly put the 8350 (noob lol). I reinstalled the cooler and the 8350 and it runs fine now. Ty for the answers and sorry again for the time lost! And i will upgrade my psu as well, to avoid future problems!

I think its fine to close this thread. Thanks!

If you plan to stay on that system long, I'd start trying to find a better board now. That FX-8350 WILL burn out those VRMs or start having thermal issues at some point on that board if you are running it often under demanding conditions. No two ways about it, it WILL happen at some point.

I see... i will try to change the motherboard first if thats the case. In Brazil computer parts are really expensive, so it becomes complicated to change parts. Ty for the advice tho!

When you start looking, you will want to be looking at getting one of the following board models. Anything else is likely to just be the same problem with either no VRM heatsinks, poor power phases or low quality.

Extreme6 (Termed as 990X chipset board on some sites)
Extreme9
Fatal1ty 990FX Professional
Crosshair V Formula-Z
Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
GA-99FXA-UD5
MSI GD80V2 (See NOTE1 below)
M5A99FX PRO R2.0
GA-99FXA-UD3
MSI GD65V2 (See NOTE1 below)
990FX Killer
Extreme4
M5A99X EVO (R2.0 as well)
GA-990XA-UD3
990XA-GD55
GA-970A-UD3P
M5A97 or EVO or PRO (R.2 as well)
GA-970A-UD3
970 GAMING
970A SLI Krait

To be absolutely sure, have you tried setting the multiplier lower to draw less current from the VRM? Are there issues like frequency drops if you stress test the CPU with Prime95 Small FFTs? Unfortunately several motherboards suggested by darkbreeze won't be available in Brazil.

Didnt tested it with Prime 95 yet. I will run it for some time and then shout out here. I managed to find some of the boards breeze suggested and they are in my budget. Going to test it first.

With that being a 125w CPU, not a 95w CPU, I'd still plan for a better board.

One, it will unquestionably run better and be less likely to have problems.

Two, if you plan or desire to overclock, to eek as much performance out of what you have rather than trying to spend on an upgrade, you'll be able to do so with every board listed there to some degree or another. Obviously, some of them are better than others and the closer to the top of that list they are, the better they likely are. Anyhow, it can't hurt to do as GhislainG has suggested if you are still having issues or they come back.

Not planning in overclock it, since i dont have the confidence to do it (less confidence now, since i couldnt even properly install the processor itself, lol). I will buy one of the boards suggested to avoid future problems, and then change the psu. Just need to wait the board i want to be in stock. I want to thank both you breeze and GhislainG for the huge help, i'm just a enthusiast and learned about pc's all by myself, so i have much more to learn. Thanks!

Don't shortchange yourself. Everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY, makes mistakes when they are starting out. Some, in fact most, still make mistakes, even rookie ones, every now and then even if they've been building systems for 30 years.

It happens. Remember to not make THAT mistake again, and move on. There is no need to limit your outcomes by thinking you are not suited to the task. Once you get your new hardware setup, and if you can also budget a suitable cooler to make overclocking that CPU safe, I'd be glad to show you how to get a little more performance out of it.

Since you cannot afford to upgrade at this time, and who can really with the current prices of things, then squeezing out all the performance you can from what you have, without compromising the long term longevity of your hardware, would seem to be a viable and maybe even necessary option.

Anyhow, good luck.

Ty. I will pay more attention when installing new parts. I actually already bought the GA-970A-UD3P, when i upgrade the cooler and the psu i will definitely give a shout out! Ty both for helping me this much!
