Can anyone interpret what's happening to this HDD based on this sound?

HGST. I bought it brand new from a reseller back in November 2014. 297 GB originally available and 60 gb used. So about 237 gb available. By no means full.

Okay. This HDD has been making odd sounds from the start, but I saw no performance issues (until recently) so I just ignored it. The sounds are becoming much much more frequent though and in greater amount.

Look at the programs they have to look at your drive and diagnose the issue.

Their fitness test program can't test/scan the primary drive, which is what my HDD is. What are the possible options? From what I am reading, I don't really have any other options but I want to make sure.
