So my PC currently runs on a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070, and it looks like it‘s getting pushed to the max getting a lot of stuttering and frame rate drops, can anyone recommend a decent one, in the UK or do I need to upgrade the CPU? The RAM is going to be updated from 16GB to 32GB, here‘s my specs below and a screen shot of what I’m getting on medium settings on a 4k tv, I mainly use my PC for Microsoft Flight simulator, I know next to nothing about PC‘s I know what parts do what but I wouldn’t know a good card from a bad one. Over on the games forums I’m getting mixed messages some saying upgrade the CPU but you’ll need to replace the mother board others saying just add more RAM or a better graphics card, I haven’t a clue what my PSU nothing is visible on the PC and I can’t find the instruction manual.

That game is one of the harder ones to run.

play at a lower resolution on a monitor will help a lot.
4k takes a lot of to run especially on that game.

a 4080 or 4090 would do better than a 3070, but you didn’t mention budget. That upgrade will require a new power supply most likely.

3070 is not intended to play games at 4K so you need to step up here. AMD 7900XT or better or NVidia RTX 4080 or better are currently best choices for 4K gaming. This may require upgrading PSU though. You will not find any PSU info in software though. Simplest way is to open the case, find the label on PSU, take a picture of it and drop the link to it here.

Had a look in the case, but I can’t see anything, but I’m assuming the PSU? Unscrewed the power cable part, (turned off and disconnected). So I assume I’ll need a new one of these as well?

At first you should try DLSS(MSFS got it last fall), 4K render resolution is a lot for 3070. It should also expose if your CPU has trouble to keep up. New shiny graphics card might not make much sense if CPU is holding back. MSFS is notoriously heavy for CPUs and 30fps isn't that far from what 11th gen intel with subpar RAM can do. Ideal new hardware is AMD X3D CPU and Nvidia 40-series graphics card. Large cache variant AMD cpus are best performers and Nvidia 40-series has frame generation which is really beneficial in this title. However most cost effective upgrade is probably a 5800X3D and new board plus sticking with 3070 and resolution scaling(DLSS). You could keep old DDR4 RAM too. 7800X3D is a month away but it will cost significantly more due expensive boards and DDR5.
