can anyone recommend a good wireless network adapter?

in my house i dont have access to ethernet so im looking a for a good wireless network adapter suited to my internet speed as i dont want to spend more money on one if my internet cant even handle half the speed the adapter is capable of.Any help would be greatly appreciated
My internet speed is 3 - 3.5Mbps

How far away from your router would you be, do you suppose? Based on that, I can find you a good adapter in no time.

Also, your motherboard would help, so we know if a specific adapter is compatible.

the house is a bungalo so im on the same floor as the router but the router is on the other side of the house although thats not alot of distance and there arent really any thick walls to block the signal.
My motherboard is an ASROCK AM3+ 990FX EXTREME3.Thanks for the help

For the best performance, get a router that is Dual Band with beam forming.
