The USB-C ports on my MacBook are very loose, much looser than other devices when using the same cable. That said, there's one USB-C cable in particular (namely, the one supplied with a SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD 1 TB) that is rock solid, even when plugged into my MacBook's ports.

I saw the SanDisk cable seems to have three 'connectors clips' inside on top and bottom (unlike Amazon basics which only has two) but I also tried other brands of USB-C, also with three, which were equally loose. As such, I'm not sure what the difference is. I've inspected my laptop's ports, which appear clean, and tried to scoop out any lint, of which there was none.

Can anyone recommend a USB-C cable brand that they've found to be unusually secure? The SanDisk one I have is only about 10cm, and I'm looking for a variety of lengths.
