I'd really like to get a ddr5 motherboard tbh again i know the prices but still would like good speed might ditch the graphics card and move to a standard matx case instead of the slim one still trying to work things out

I am wanting to build a low power low size office/really light gaming pc can anyone see any issues I went up market with a ddr5 memory I know I will be paying a arm and a leg for it but that's OK want to get better speeds in program loading.

It's a nice little box, the i3 is only £30 more though and that nets you 2 extra cores. Do you need 1.5TB space? I would actually get a 1TB Samsung 980 instead of the two drives, that way you can have all your apps on an SSD. I'd also consider an alternative build with the AMD Ryzen 5600G, that get's you a 6 core/12 thread CPU and you won't need the Nvidia 1030 then because it has an integrated GPU that is just as good. You'd also have more than 2GB vram because it uses system memory.

To answer your question:
The main issue I see is the use of a hard drive.
Since you already have a ssd, go ahead and use that.
When it fills up, add a ssd of whatever size you need.

If you were going to use integrated graphics, I could see spending on DDR5, but with a GT1030
you would see no performance benefit.
DDR5 has no benefit in program loading.

Just built a i5-12400 and everything benchmarked outstanding (ssd) save the integrated graphics that scored almost 4%. But its a work machine, so 3d stuff will not be the name of the game.
