In Europe there is 2 years warranty, so here they will live
2 years and a day :)

Danish consumer organization just test over 50 inkjets. Most expensive
overall was Lexmark, with one having a cost per page of Photo around
$6 for an A4 / Letter sheet.

Average price was around $1, with Canon beeing cheapest, followed
by Epson and HP.

I have a Canon for bulk color prints, a HP laserJet for bulk BW,
and an Epson RX500 all-in-one for Photos.

Thank you for your opinions. I have heard something like this long time ago,
but was thinking perhaps something could have changed...
