3.2 > 3.3 > 3.4 > 4.4 > 5.0 > install the latest chipset driver sourced from AMD's support site in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator > 5.1 > 5.4 > 5.8 > 6.0 > 6.4 > 7.00 [Beta] > 7.4 > L8.02 > 10.31[Beta]

If I were you, I'd gradually work my way up, going into BIOS with every successful BIOS flash to see if the BIOS was indeed updated.

The utility to flash your BIOS is in your BIOS labelled Instant Flash, under Tools;

Ok.. .. I should do EVERY update, even the ones it says NOT too?! There are bridge bios every so often.... and at what point would I switch out the CPU and should I clear the CMOS? before or after I put the new CPU in... ? I feel like I need my hand held in this... I mean I understand running an exe in an elevated command and I know where my instant flash is on the UEFI. It's the other bits... like is the chipset driver specific to this motherboard? i mean, on AMD, when selecting chipsets I selected AM4, then there was no place to select AB350 pro4.. there was a B350.. but thats it...?

After you've completed the BIOS flash with the last version, clear the CMOS, then drop in the new processor.
So.... I appreciate your input, thanks. I did just that... I had a few stumbling blocks because I basically took the whole thing apart to clean it, rearranged the fans, etc.
But, now I have the Asrock AB350 Pro4 motherboard with a Ryzen 7 5700X3D and a Radeon RX 5600 XT GPU.... The same 4 sticks of 8GB G Skills Ripjaws .... all the same type, they worked as 32GB before.... but now the system only shows 16GB ?!? The bios is all updated... Any insight for that?

Ah I had one of those boards for years. Might pull all of the sticks, add one in, reset to bios default now that you’re on the latest version, just to clear out any old settings. Once you do that, maybe add one stick back at a time and see how it acts.

You might also consider picking up a 2x16gb 32gb kit. Enjoy the 5700x3d. Pretty nice you can still possibly get 2-3 years of use from a board from about 2017. Especially in a time when it seems everything moves so quickly.

I originally got the board for a Ryzen 7 1700x and just upgraded... got it on the way in and on the way out.. as for the memory... i just had the whole thing apart and upgraded the bios and basically did that, if not exactly.... i was hoping it was a known issue and had a fix
