Can anyone tell me why my display driver is freezing when i play games

everytime i play my game, my screen will turn to pixels and go black. this happens seemingly randomly and is very frustrating. i dont know much at all about computers but i driver sweeper to clean my files and delete everything and i reinstalled on http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/Pages/radeon_win7-64.aspx and it still did it...

I've seen this happen. Most the time it's overheating.

You might want to set things back to stock if you are OCing. I'd also make sure to blow out any dust and make sure there is good air flow. You might consider underclocking the ram and or CPU to test. If you underclock it by a good amount and still have a problem it could be related to poor power or some other problem.

What game where you playing (multi/single?) and what version of catalyst are you using?

I had a similair issue with bfbc2 and reinstalled punkbuster as well as uninstalling catalyst 11.4 for 11.3, this seems to have fixed it.
