Hey guys,

Recently, i got a new monitor. It is a BenQ XL2411 less than 2 weeks ago, and just now i have encountered a problem with my display. I noticed that it has a stuck pixel on it and i was wondering why i got a stuck pixel when my monitor is brand new.. Is it because i have a power supply that is not rated? I do not know the price of my PSU because my older brother bought me the PSU.

And a while back, my motherboard died of 4 years of use and the PSU i used was the one i am using right now. Also my old monitor got backlight bleed, thats why i replaced it to my new monitor. I don't know the cause but i think it is a faulty psu?

No, you're power supply cannot cause dead or discolored pixels. That is entirely an issue with the panel itself, unless the corruption is not always in the same place, in which case it could THEN be graphics card or power supply related, but if that were the case it would be very unlikely to be a single pixel. It would likely be bunches of pixels or an entirely corrupted display.

However, you probably would be wise to invest in a better power supply, regardless that it is not the cause of THAT specific problem. The unit you have is likely to cause OTHER issues, probably sooner than later.
