Can bad Ram slot cause Memory Dump ?

I just boght a new rig and when i'm using it, the system crash after 15-30 minutes, blue screen appeared. I'm wondering can bad Ram slot cause blue screen of death ?

it is possible but lets not jump to conclusion. You can use a free program called "whocrashed". It will read your dumb file and tell you what is causing your blue screen of death.

Thank pro, i just findout that the motherboard Ram slot actually is the reason why my system crash. I had bought a X99 Deluxe to replace it.
