For some reason My monitor's show jagged edges on images, and while gaming. For example the edges of a Logo, Letter or the outline/edges of a character in a game. It all looks jagged and unnatural.

So Far I know it's not my computer, Because I still get the jaggedness when I'm using the PS3 on my Monitor, Also When i have nothing connected to the monitor and just start it up the Logo still looks jagged.

Monitor's I'm using are an old Asus VE228H 21.5", And a a recently bought BenQ XL2420TE 144Hz.

As of now The only thing I can think of that might causing this is the quality of the electricity/voltage.

Maybe I should just say screen tearing instead of jaggedness oh well.

its likely your gpu setting not having aa enabled or if you do its possible the game has bloom enabled which can stop aa from working.
as for it doing it on the ps3 the ps3 has very few games that use aa so you will see jagies on them games more often than on pc games with aa enabled.

if your getting tearing its a sync issue. either you haven't enabled vsnc to sync you gpu to your monitors refresh rate or the monitor cant properly sync to the fps your gpu is throwing at it. 144hz monitors are pants mate. see if you can run it at 120 as 144 is just an oc'd 120hz screen. you will likely get an improvement in image quality at the lower refresh rate as the 144hz screens do suffer terrible image degradation due to being over clocked... (yes you can oc some screens but like i say often at the cost of image quality)

But this still happens when i Have nothing connected to the monitor, like my computer, or PS3. I just power on my monitor and the start up logo "Benq", Or "Asus" has jagged edges on them.

I have tried hdmi and duel link dvi, and not only on my Benq, but also on my old 21.5 inch Asus monitor. Still the same result.

Also remember i said I tried having nothing connected to it, Still have that jagged screen tear on the edges of the logo When I turn the monitor on.

now back to my main question, Can bad voltage quality cause this? Anyone know?

i bought a brand new pc , it was working great , until i installed ENB for gta4

some of the users say they too installed ENB and got this issue like a sticky virus... it is continuing even after re-install OS , changning Components...

or

it would be either a power voltage problem i guess... 🙁

any developer / engineer , why the **** you not showing up on important threads like this ?

and you developers and engineers show up mainly , on small threads that has very easy solutions... 🙁

I've got this exact same problem, most stuff looks jagged and it looks like there's lots of aliasing. And yeah just like you the logos on the monitor when you start it up looks super jagged.

But look at the Energy Star logo and Acer logo, i've seen videos when people have unboxed this exact monitor that i have and theirs doesn't seem to be jagged. Also, i know the LG logo was aliased before all this happened.

That's what i did just before everything went fucked, i reseted monitor settings and then got these weird graphics and even getting a new monitor didn't fix it. It has to be power related or GPU related, i will try to use my pc with integrated graphics instead somewhere else.

Did you ever figure this out? I had something similar happen. One day I switched my cables (hot switch by accident) and It has never been the same. All my components test fine and I have even taken it somewhere to be diagnosed and they told me nothing is wrong...

I have jagged edges for everything. Any solution yet?

I'm hoping someone figured this problem out? I'm having this same issue and I have tried 3 different monitors, 3 hdmi cables, I even erased everything nvidia(registry included) and reinstalled drivers to no avail. This is not normal like some people argue, no form of aa works and 4K dsr barely affects this issue.

I have the same problem. Just started happening the other day randomly. I noticed my text looked weird like it's all thin and jagged, and then I notice its on everything. Everything just looks crappier. I haven't made any changed on my computer that I am aware of. I've tried the ClearType and checked my resolution and updated and reinstall video card drivers. I'm on Windows 10 and use dual monitors and do not have this issue on my secondary monitor. This problem is only on my primary monitor. When I drag a window from one monitor to the other, the text and graphics are normal on the second monitor so this only seems to affect my main monitor.

This is really annoying and not sure what is causing it. I am using a GTX 760.
