Can BenQ GW2760HS (1080) be custom setting to 2560 x 1440 ?

I need a monitor with resolution 2560 x 1440.

But in my place there is only sell BenQ GW2760HS (1920 x 1080).

Before I buy it, I want to ask, can I setting this Benq resolution to 2560 with custom setting or use a software ?

My Gpu is XFX HD 7770.

No. The maximum resolution is determined by how many pixels were physically etched onto the panel when it was manufactured.

A 1080 screenr is 1080 and can't go any further. That said, some games will allow you to "reescalate them", emulating bigger resolutions (2k or 4k). One example is CS:GO. I have the BenQ GL 2460 (1080 as well) and this game allows me to run in higher resolutions, but I doubt about the usefulnes of this option.

What exactly do you want the higher res for?

You won't get much better image quality than just setting it to 1920x1080.

I want to draw a bar chart so if i use higher resolution I can see more bar in the the left.

like stock chart or trading chart.

because here the difference price of HD lcd and 2k is almost @200. So if I can do this I can save much money

Adjust the scale on your bars...

I think I cannot do that, my bar is small enough, I use 5 pixel for every bar. Sometime I use 2 monitors to extend it (unfortunately I use different monitor size so look weird)

I myself don't want to try and error to buy this Benq 1080 if there is no surely answer that it can be work.
Maybe for save I must buy the real 2560 x 1440

If this is about how many bars you can fit on screen, I'd definitely go for multiple smaller monitors.
