The title is oversimplified but here goes the story:

I recently buillt a computer and everything worked on the first try. Everything!
I bought a different motherboard (which is compatible) and now i'm running into some issues. At first it would not even start the boot-up screen. The CPU pins were bent, but i put those back into place gently. Now it fits in perfectly to the motherboard, but now i'm experiencing a different issue.

Windows crashes every time it attempts to load. I tried all of the repair options including system recovery, but there is no improvement.

It's an ASUS M5A97 and an AMD 6300. Loading windows 7.
Thank you!

AMD FX 6300 and an ASUS M5A97 R.20 to be more exact. I've gathered the general concensus that the CPU shouldnt be the problem since the pins did go back into place. It seems more like the Hard Disk is the issue. Should i format it from the start up repair menu? If so, which one?
