Can Celeron G530 stock cooler work on i3 2100?

Hi,
I will upgrade my cpu soon. I already have a Celeron G530 @2.4Ghz with stock cooler and i want to upgrade it to Core i3 2100 Processor. They have the same TDP of 65W. I am only buying the processor, not the cooler. So will i3 overheat with that cooler or no? Do i need to buy one for i3?

Should be fine, you might need to replace the thermal paste

It is compatible, since both CPUs are for the socket 1155. Since they also have exactly the same TDP, there is no reason not to use this cooler, it will be perfectly fine.
