Question Can connect to internet through wifi, but not through ethernet cable, how to connect?

• If I plug the cable in, the ethernet cable comes as an Unidentified Connection.
• Ran troubleshooter reason comes = Doesn't have valid IP configuration
• I manually typed in the IP address, still unidentified, later when I opened IP Config, the connection is still coming unidentified with an autoconfiguration ipv4 address instead of the ip address I put.

If you want to use wired ethernet connection, then disable wifi first.

Have you attempted uninstalling the nic from device manager and rescanning devices to set it back to default? Did you attempt to set a static IP to the machine from the router itself?
