Hi,

I have a triple monitor setup (just in case the answer is brand-specific, they are 3 Asus VC279H) and I have them powered through a power extender with on/off switch on the extender.

I was wondering if I can use the extender switch to shut the 3 screens off and on in one go instead of manually switching the 3 of them manually (yes I know, laziness... but I'm using a pyramid setup and the top one buttons (on the bottom edge) are not easily accessible).

Would the shut down at the power source present any risk of damage ?

Thanks for your ideas/suggestions.

No, can't damage your monitors by doing that, I do the same thing with most all devices in my room, rather than having to turn them on one by one. The extender you speak of, I use one that protects the devices in case there's lightning struck, most "extenders" can act like one, but read your manual to be sure.
