[SOLVED] Can delete folders or files from Buffalo HD-PCTU3

I have a Buffalo HD-PCTU3 and am using a Mac OS x 10.8.5 and 10.6.8
There is 983 GB available (16.7GB on the disk)
I can't delete or add new files to it...
Message "The item xxxx can't be moved to the Trash because it can't be deleted"

it's an external Hard drive right?

it's probably formated in fat32 or NTSF. Have you been using it on a windows PC?

The thing is that it probably needs to be formated in MAC.

The thing is that it probably needs to be formated in MAC.

You're right, but there are other options too...you could install applications like Paragon NTFS, Tuxera NTFS, or the other thousands of similar programs to get your Mac to manage NTFS formatted drives better. In case it's formatted as Fat, etc. my advise is you reformat the drive to NTFS to allow it to copy files with sizes bigger than 4GB & install one of the above mentioned applications to have your Mac/PC/Linux work with it.
