I know that it's good to delete temporary files because it can speed up the performance of your computer. But if you delete temporary files often will it break your pc in some minor way????
I delete the temporary files of my pc everyday, and I noticed that sometimes my pc is let's say.....malfunctioning in a way that I can't point out where the problem is. I hve deleted so many registry strings before and I think that's the reason my pc is kinda malfunctioning, I will never ever delete registry strings again! But what if it about temporary files, can it make your computer malfunction when you delete them often, like registry strings??? If IT CAN mess up my computer, then when should o delete temporary files...once a week, month or whatever time you may recommend deleting those temporary files.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

Deleting temporary files shouldn't cause you any problems at all. Deleting registry entries can cause tons of trouble to the point where you have to reinstall your OS. If you're deleting temporary files with Windows "Disk Cleanup" or a reputable program like "CCleaner" I really can't imagine that it would cause problems. CCleaner will actually allow you to create a file to undo changes when you run it's "registry cleaner" though. If you want to clean up the registry, this is how I suggest going about it. Unless of course you are a Microsoft Certified Master.

When should you delete temporary files? I say every 3 months, or as needed if you're desperately trying to free up a bit of space.

When should you run a registry cleaner...
Honestly I wouldn't waste your time deleting temporary files.. Deleting temporary files that are clutter really isn't going to provide a noticeable difference in speed unless half your HDD is clutter.

Messing with the registry CAN cause serious issues for you,
deleting temporary files, not so much, as these files are temporary. - Although I wouldn't recommend deleting anything unless you are certain of what it is.

Try using disk cleanup built into windows to try cleaning up things for you.

When should you run a registry cleaner? I say about every 6 months, or if you've identified and removed viruses or malware from your system lately. I recommend CCleaner and that you allow it to create a backup file before proceeding. Manually deleting registry entries is a bad idea if you aren't absolutely sure what you're deleting and it's potential impacts upon your system.
