I purchased two monitors with VGA connections. My motherboard has one VGA and one DVI-D ports. What is the best way to set this up? I purchased a dual link DVI-D-VGA adapter and it didn't work. Will a single link DVI-D adapter resolve this?
ok thanks for the info. So to play it safe, I'm going to return one monitor. If I trade it for a monitor with a DVI-D connection, will that work since my mother board supports both? I just want to play it safe.
If you use a monitor supporting DVI-D, you should be able to use your motherboard DVI-D connector perfectly fine, however, depending on the actual hardware you are using in the computer, motherboard, CPU, integrated graphics solution, you still may not be able to have simultaneous, independent output from all of the motherboard's video attachments. More information about your current equipment would help us to give you better answers to your questions.
